Acceptable use policy
This policy says how Taxi Foundry may be used. It is part of the Terms of service and applies to everyone who uses your space, your website and your apps through you.
What you may use Taxi Foundry for
Use Taxi Foundry to run a lawful transport business, with the licences, permits and insurance your country asks for, and to serve your own riders and drivers under your own name.
What you must not do
You must not use Taxi Foundry, or let anyone use it through you, to:
- run a transport service that the law forbids, or without the licences it requires;
- mislead riders or drivers about who you are, your prices, your licences, your insurance or the safety of your service;
- pretend to be another person or company, or use a name or mark that is not yours;
- commit or help fraud, money laundering, tax evasion, or business with people or places that sanctions laws forbid;
- discriminate against riders or drivers in ways the law forbids, or threaten, harass or abuse anyone;
- collect, record or use personal data without a lawful ground and without telling the people concerned, including recording trips or checking identities where the law does not allow it;
- send spam, or use the service for messages that people did not ask for;
- put illegal, harmful or infringing content (names, pictures, texts, marks) in your space, website or apps;
- attack, probe, overload or scan Taxi Foundry or other people’s systems, get round limits or security, share your sign-in with others or resell access;
- copy Taxi Foundry, take it apart, or use it to build a competing service, except where the law allows.
Safety comes first
You are responsible for the safe running of your service, for answering emergency alerts quickly, and for telling us about any serious incident that involves the service. We may act at once, without warning, where there is a risk to people.
Your website and apps
Your website shows only your own business. It must not claim licences, insurance or safety checks that you do not have. Your apps are published under your own store accounts, and the stores’ rules apply to them as well as ours.
How we act when this policy is broken
Depending on how serious and how repeated it is, we may:
- ask you to put it right;
- hide the content or the page concerned;
- pause your space, so that your apps and website stop serving people;
- end the service.
We tell you what we did and why, unless the law or an investigation prevents it. We may keep records, and we may report to the authorities where the law asks us to or where there is a risk to people. We do not delete your data only because you broke this policy, except where the law requires it.
Reporting a problem
Anyone can report a website that runs on Taxi Foundry, through the report form on the address that begins with “abuse.” in front of our domain, or by writing to taxifoundry@gmail.com. We look at every report and act on it as this policy says.
Appeals
If you think we acted wrongly, write to us and tell us why. A person who was not involved in the first decision looks at it and answers you.
Changes
We may update this policy as the law and the service change. When we do, we follow the rule for changes in the Terms of service.
